History

Since Bible times, mankind has seen that prayer – to God – changes things! The Bible tells us to pray without ceasing, pray for our leaders, pray when we are sick or in need, and God has promised to hear us and answer.

It is our prayer that this site would help you on your journey through life, and that you would meet with Jesus and get to know him.

We started this part of our journey with a dream, that Cirencester would have a centre called the Hope Centre, where services for the family, the elderly, those who are lonely or isolated would be located. This site, and prayer room, are initial parts of the journey towards that.

We hope you will spend a part of your journey with us here. This was in 2008.

In May 2021 we moved from our original premises in the Market Place, Cirencester to the Salvation Army Hall at 10 Thomas Street, Cirencester, Gloucestershire, GL7 2AX. This is a large ground floor space which is very suitable and accessible for the work that we are doing.   We are very grateful to The Salvation Army for granting us a licence to use the premises in return for a small monthly payment. We are enjoying a collaborative relationship with The Salvation Army , through the good offices of the local Territorial Envoy, Kim Whyard. We remain a separate organisation, running most of our activities independently of The Salvation Army, but it is good to be able to take a collaborative approach to reaching those in the community who benefit from our help.
