Prayers for family
Lord we are shocked at the sudden death of our blessed friend. It doesn't feel as if the world should keep on turning. Please bring comfort to her family, uphold them on all the dark days. Thank you that we knew her, and how much of You shone through her.
Lord, I pray your peace, freedom from fear, and blessing upon M. Reconcile and heal all that is within your gracious will. Bring peace and calm upon the whole household and let love be filling every corner and moment. Amen. xxx
Lord you had to flee for safety as an infant. Please have mercy on all who are escaping, or are hoping for a better life. I also pray for all the people being trafficked, that they would be rescued and find safety. Help governments to do the right thing and not be selfish and uncaring for these desperate folks. Lord have mercy.
Lord please draw near to J & wrap her up in your comfort and peace today. Please bless and keep her family as they travel this road together. Xxx
People who are poorly
Prayers for your healing and comfort for Christine, Jenny and their families. Lord, have mercy.
Lord, we pray for the nation of Burundi, that stability and peace would break out and you would stay the hands of violence and bloodshed. Let government be in the interests of all people and not just powerful elites. Protect Simon and the GLO workers and all who provide support, aid and care. Amen.
Lord I lift up to you all who suffered damage and loss in the recent disaster. Please bless the aid agencies and medical services as they help people cope with the aftermath, especially all those suffering from trauma and unseen wounds. Wrap them around with your love and care as they rebuild their communities. Amen xx
Lord I pray for the families, staff and students who lost loved ones in the horrifying attack last week. Those who died are safe with you now, but please protect and stay close to those who remain, and all Christians in unsafe places. I pray for an outbreak of your peace. Amen
At Easter, I pray for our country in the run up to the general election. Thank you that we have freedom to vote in peace and choose freely. But I pray for the spirit of politics, that it may once again be inspired by big ideas, by justice, creativity and fairness, that all politicians would serve the common good and not line their own overstuffed pockets. Jesus please move, inspire and embolden those who know you in Westminster, for the sake of your kingdom. Amen
Lord please comfort all the families of every faith and none who lost loved ones in the shootings in Paris. Please call peacemakers and reconcilers. Amen
